Since 2004 a new service option has been made available to Visa card holders enabling them to query their transactions online. This is how they can retrieve their transaction figures rapidly on the same day. The new feature ensures greater transparency in handling credit cards.
Customer Security & User Friendliness
Card holders only need the card number and Verified by VISA password to use the new service. Verified by VISA is the new and globally applicable security standard for online visa payments. Now VISA card holders have a dual benefit. Alongside online payment security, the Verified by Visa scheme also offers card holders access to the Transaction Query system.
Additional Services
Transaction Query does not only provide information on current transactions but also other practical information:
- An overview of transactions of the past three months
- An overview of the payable amounts complete with Visa account number and bank code
- IBAN and BIC for cross-border transfers, and
- A Download Centre providing various forms for address change notification, reordering PIN codes etc.
But Transaction Query also comes in handy when travelling, as card holders may use the system wherever they have Internet access. This is how they will get the whole picture of expenses related to shopping with their Visa card.
